Pink Pub to the Arctic Circle: 5 Days, 5 Countries, 5 Games

17 teammates from a Thursday night football club are kicking off an epic football adventure, travelling over 2,000 miles from the Pink Pub in Bognor Regis to Henningsvaer stadium in the Arctic Circle.

KICK OFF

Travelling only by public transport, the team will be playing 5 matches in 5 countries in 5 days. Heading from the UK to Brussels, the 17 adventurers will then journey onto Hamburg, Copenhagen and Stockholm before reaching their final destination - Henningsvaer Stadium in the Lofoten Islands of Norway.

As they reach each new country, the team will lace up their boots to play charity football matches in local stadiums against some pro and semi-pro teams before packing up and travelling to the next day’s location.

THE GOAL

The team are taking on the adventure in memory of their friend and Pink Pub Football Club teammate, James Palmer-Bullock, who sadly passed away in 2024. James had originally suggested the team played a match in the Arctic Circle, so the team have taken on his challenge and are hoping to raise £50,000 for two local Chichester based charities that James supported, Children on the Edge and The Sussex Snowdrop Trust.

"
“This is more than just a football challenge - it’s about brotherhood, community, and creating lasting change. Throughout the journey, we’ll be connecting with local teams, engaging with communities, and raising awareness for these amazing causes.”

The Pink Pub Football Team

James was the kind of guy that got to know people deeply and made everyone feel welcome and included. He was a long time supporter of Children on the Edge, and The Pink Pub to the Arctic Circle challenge is a very special way to honor his memory. We are wishing the whole team the very best of luck, and will be following their progress, cheering them on every step of the way.

Ben Wilkes, Children on the Edge Chief Operating Officer

CHEERING THEM ON
