What does the recipient get?
Your recipient will receive an email with the details of the gift you have purchased, along with your personal message included on a PDF certificate that they can download, view and print.
If you choose the postal option (we'll ask for a £2 additional donation to cover postage), then we can hand write your message in a greetings card and include a double sided printed certificate that is perfectly sized for hanging on the fridge! We'll send this directly to your recipient.
I'd like to deliver my gifts personally, can you send them to me instead?
Yes of course, select your preferred delivery method for each gift at the checkout. We can post you the certificate with a blank card to write your own message in (just leave the message blank at the checkout). We'll ask for a £2 additional donation to cover postage costs. Or we can email you a digital certificate as a PDF for you to forward on, or print at home.
Will the recipient know the donation amount?
No, the donation amount is not included on the gift certificate or card. If you would like your loved one to be aware of the amount given, you can include this in your personal message.
When will the certificate or card arrive?
Digital certificates are typically emailed within 1-2 working days. If you've selected the postal option, please allow 3-4 working days for this to arrive. We'll post your card 2nd class. Please note, our Elves arrive from the North Pole on Monday 1st December, so we'll begin processing all orders after this date. Last orders for posted cards are 10am on the 16th December.
What if I want to buy both printed and digital gifts for different people?
No problem. At the checkout you have the option to add a delivery method for each gift you purchase, along with the name of the recipient and a personal message you want us to include.
What does the certificate or card look like?
The digital certificate is a colourful PDF with information on the impact of your gift and a little about who we are. We'll personalise it with your recipients name, and your message if you want to include one.
If we're posting the certificate with a card, we'll include a double sided gift token into a greetings card, with information on the impact of your gift and a little about who we are. We'll personalise the card with your recipients name, and your message if you want to include one.
Can I combine postage if you deliver more than one card to my address?
Yes, if you're ordering more than one card to be delivered to your address, you only need to pay for one lot of postage - £2.
My recipient didn't receive their certificate by email?
It's possible the email has gone into their spam/ junk email folder. Ask them to check to see if their email is in there. If not, please contact us and we'll be happy to help! Email communications@childrenontheedge.org
What is the deadline for orders?
For postal orders, the deadline is 10am on Tuesday 16th December so that we can guarantee delivery for Christmas.
For digital orders the deadline is 10am on Tuesday 23rd December.
