We react quickly to provide emergency assistance to communities who need it most.

The children and communities we support are those who are most at risk and hardest hit when crisis strikes.

From war, natural disasters and violence, we are quick to respond. Being small means we can be agile, react quickly and support communities in times of crisis.

IN INDIA

Our learning centres in Dalit communities are at risk of being bulldozed by the authorities. When this happens, we support communities to rebuild classrooms as quickly as possible so that learning can continue.

IN BANGLADESH

The large refugee camps that house Rohingya refugees are plagued by frequent fires that destroy our classrooms. When this happens, we set up temporary learning spaces so that education is not disrupted for the children we support.

IN MYANMAR

Many displaced communities still live in an active warzone. When they are attacked we help with emergency supplies and resources to rebuild homes and safe spaces. When fighting cuts them off from basic supplies, we provide food parcels, basic health care and warm clothes.

IN ROMANIA & MOLDOVA

When war broke out in Ukraine, we reignited old partnerships and were able to use our expertise to reach refugees with the help they need, adjusting our support as the situation changed.

IN LEBANON

When deadly airstrikes displaced thousands of people in 2024, we acted quickly to support our partners to provide 20,000 hot meals and set up cooking stations in refugee shelters. 1450 hygiene packs, blankets and mattresses were also distributed to families in Beirut.

Community of Munglai Hkyet

When the community of Munglai Hkyet in Myanmar suffered a devastating attack in October 2023, our partners were quick to respond. The artillery attack killed 29 people, including two children who attended our preschool centre.

The displaced communities living here were soon provided with food provisions, warm clothes and blankets. Staff and teachers visited families in their temporary shelters, to provide care, support and play opportunities for the youngest children affected.
