About Us

What We Do

Children on the Edge exists to help the most marginalised and vulnerable children worldwide in particular those without parental care.

We strive to bring hope, life, colour and fun into these children's lives, empowering them and giving them a voice. We are committed to ensuring their fundamental needs are met and rights protected.

How We Do It

Where possible we partner grassroots organisations. Where civil society is not strong we implement programmes through indigenous staff teams.

We constantly monitor global situations where children's rights are being denied and will respond if our expertise and resource allow.

Our Values

Passion - we are passionate for the rights of all children, passionate in all that we do exhibiting a creative, exploring and fiery spirit.

Excellence - the most vulnerable deserve the best. We aim to create models of good practice bringing change in individual children's lives and advocating for lasting change at National and International level.

Dignity - the way we treat and respect each individual human being is of utmost important to us as an organisation. In all of the projects and programmes that we roll out we never lose sight of the individual child.

Prudence - we spend our supporters' money with great care.

Relational - we are a global network of individuals; staff, volunteers, partner organisations and friends. They are our most valuable resource.

Freedom - we offer freedom from physical, mental and emotional constraints. We believe every child should have the freedom to express themselves, to discover their own path in life and the freedom to pursue this in a safe and secure environment.
